Common use of Skills Development Clause in Contracts

Skills Development. Where an employee has been given the opportunity to learn new skills through a “hands on” training program as a result of a full time vacancy arising, an appropriate skills development time frame will be negotiated. At the end of this period employees will be given the opportunity to enter into a classification review provided that the new skills are outside of the existing classification level and the organisation has an existing establishment position available.
