Common use of Space Preparation Clause in Contracts

Space Preparation. Space preparation fees consist of a nonrecurring charge for Firm Order Processing and monthly recurring charges for Central Office Modifications assessed per arrangement, per square foot and Common Systems Modifications assessed per arrangement, per square foot for cageless collocation and per cage for caged collocation. ALCALL shall remit payment of the nonrecurring Firm Order Processing fee coincident with the submission of a BFFO. These charges recover the costs associated with preparing the Collocation Space, which includes, but is not limited to, the following items: a survey, engineering of the Collocation Space, design and modification costs for network, building and support systems, etc. In the event ALCALL opts for cageless space, the space preparation fees will be assessed based on the total square footage of floor space dedicated to ALCALL as prescribed in this Section.
