Standards Development. 8.1 In the preparation of British Standards, BSI will ensure that its committees adhere to the guidance and recommendations of BS 0: 1997 'A Standard for Standards' and any subsequent amendment or revision thereof, and to Rule 5 of BSI's Bye-laws. BSI will ensure that any amendments to this standard do not prejudice the aims and objectives of this Memorandum. BS 0 incorporates practical interpretation of the principles referred to in Article 1.2 as regards British Standards.
Standards Development. If any Work Package relates to the development of biological reference materials, Awardee will provide relevant materials and data and shall grant rights to their use for International Standards development, to one of either the WHO or the ▇▇▇▇-▇▇▇▇▇▇▇- Institute (PEI) in Germany or, if agreed by the Parties, another independent standards development agency. Standards Development. As may be reasonably requested by GS1 Canada from time to time, the Subscriber agrees to: (a) participate on committees and in working groups to develop standards and technical specifications relating to user requirements for the sector; and (b) develop and strengthen the use of existing standards and technical specifications.

At a minimum, the Study Advisory Team believes this will include: a) Develop a street / roadway classification system that meets local needs and can correspond with the FHWA functional classification system. b) Develop a major street plan for 20 years in the future that includes the preferred location for future arterials and collectors within the study area. c) Develop traffic level of service standards for the Box Elder area. d) Develop a master bicycle and pedestrian plan for 20 years in the future. e) Develop a process by which development plans will address roadway and transportation needs associated with the development. f) Confirm and develop where needed base typical cross sections for various roadway types dependent upon classification. g) Confirm and develop where needed standards for access management by street / roadway classification.

BSI will ensure that any amendments to BS 0 do not prejudice the aims and objectives of this Memorandum. 8.2 BSI will keep its committee structure under review and revise it as necessary to ensure it is responsive to the needs of industry and other stakeholders, taking the changing business environment into account. BSI will also adapt the procedures so as to be able to meet demand for standardisation products, and to be clear where these products fit in its catalogue in relation to formal British Standards. 8.3 BSI will seek a fair and acceptable balance of all relevant interests in its work, reflecting as widely as possible the organisational and human diversity of its stakeholders, and will encourage their full participation in producing standards and in formulating the UK position on proposed European and international standards which not only reflect sound and modern technical practice but also take fully into account the commercial needs of both manufacturers and users. If work on standards or standardisation products is funded or partly funded by participants, BSI will take care that opportunities for participation are available to other stakeholders as appropriate. 8.4 Government will seek to ensure that its representatives participate appropriately in activities at every level of BSI's standards development and advisory committees. In particular, they will make such contributions to the technical, commercial and legislative aspects of standards work as are necessary and appropriate, drawing upon the resources and expertise within Government to do so. In addition, the Government representatives on BSI Technical Committees will, before a draft British Standard is issued for public consultation and at final approval stage, indicate whether and to what extent it is likely to be acceptable to the Government for regulatory or purchasing purposes.

Describe below how this is done, including number of staff, frequency of contacts, etc. Self Sufficiency Supervisory Staff members promote the hiring of Temporary Assistance clients through the use of the Transitional Employment Advancement Program (TEAP). MCDSS offers periodic job interviews with 60 - 75 TA recipients (concentrating on the Safety Net Singles) to fill vacant positions with companies who may participate with TEAP or OJT. Daily, job openings are received from area employers and reviewed by the Self Sufficiency staff for possible applicant matching. All jobs are posted in our waiting rooms, handed out at our front windows, given during recertification interviews or employment assessments for clients and applicants to review and submit applications to. To find additional employers, intranet searches of employment web sites, phone calls, cold calls, and mailings are made to employers in the area to explain the TEAP and OJT contracts along with information about Tax Incentives. Self Sufficiency staff also attend Job Fairs, as they arise to speak with employers and discuss the benefits of hiring a client currently on Public Assistance. Individuals that are eligible for TEAP or OJT are also given a TEAP brochure and OJT literature to use to advise potential employers that they are eligible for TEAP or OJT if they are hired. The Employment Coordinator receives notifications of job postings from various Monroe County vendors, we then try to match clients with these positions. MCDSS screens recipients for job skills matching current openings at an employer. MCDSS then schedules recipients to come to office and have a job interview here in the building. We assist with online application filing and interview preparation before the interview is conducted with the employer. MCDSS receives notifications of community job fairs and advises employable individuals to attend. MCDSS is able to have a sign in table at these events and are able to mentor individuals and offer support during the fair. Outreach is done on a daily basis in a variety of ways such as through daily job posts on behalf of business, presentations to business/industry associations and groups like the local ▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇ of Commerce, Pro-ROC (Professional Recruiters of Rochester) and other networks; one-on-one meetings at employers’ worksites, virtually, over the phone or via email; virtual and in-person recruitment events; and monthly business newsletters. RochesterWorks also engages employers referred by our local county Economic Development Department as well as the Department of Labor, to promote and connect job seekers with hiring companies. In addition to free job posting, recruitment events, and promotion, RochesterWorks offers work-based training grants in the form of On-the-Job Training (partial wage subsidy) and Transitional Jobs (fully subsidized). Career Systems currently refers Job Seekers from a number of programs to area job fairs. They will continue this and consider a referral to a job fair to be equivalent to a referral to potential employment; it will be a condition of continued eligibility for the program. They will facilitate, monitor and report this attendance and participation. Career Systems will also develop relationships with hiring agencies that will allow groups of participants to be interviews at the job site.
