Common use of Standing By Clause in Contracts

Standing By. 19.1 This clause applies to employees who are directed to stand by in readiness to work overtime. It does not apply to employees who are on call. 19.2 Employees who are standing by shall be paid at ordinary rates from the time the employee commences standing by until the time the employee is directed to commence overtime or to cease standing by. 19.3 This clause applies except where a Local Workplace Flexibility Agreement is in place.
