Common use of Step 1 Clause in Contracts

Step 1. The Bargaining Unit shall make a written grievance to the Director of Education or a designate, or the Secretary of the Board, as the case may be, who shall answer the grievance in writing within ten (10) days after receipt of the grievance. The grievance shall contain: (i) a description of how the alleged dispute is in violation of the Agreement; and (ii) the clauses in the Agreement alleged to be violated; and (iii) the relief sought; and (iv) the signature of the duly authorized official of the party making the grievance.
