Common use of Strikes and Slowdowns Clause in Contracts

Strikes and Slowdowns. The Association and its members agree that they will not sanction or participate in any slowdown, walkout, refusal to report to work, interruption of work, picketing, or other work stoppage affecting the District. It is understood and agreed that the above prohibition is directed to prohibit the employee’s activities which interrupt or interfere with the District’s ability to effectively and efficiently serve the public. The prohibition is not intended to apply to sympathy strike activities during non-working or off-duty time which do not involve such work stoppages, slowdowns or interruptions of District operations or functions.
