SUBMITTAL REQUIREMENTS & EVALUATION CRITERIA Clause Samples

The 'Submittal Requirements & Evaluation Criteria' clause defines the necessary documents, information, or materials that must be provided by a party—typically a bidder or contractor—and outlines the standards or benchmarks by which these submissions will be assessed. In practice, this clause may specify formats for proposals, deadlines for submission, and the specific content required, such as technical qualifications, pricing, or past project experience. It also details the criteria or scoring system used to evaluate and compare the submissions, ensuring a transparent and objective selection process. The core function of this clause is to establish clear expectations for submissions and to provide a fair, consistent basis for evaluating and selecting among competing proposals.
