Collection Days and Hours Clause Samples
The 'Collection Days and Hours' clause defines the specific days of the week and times during which goods or materials may be collected from a designated location. Typically, this clause outlines permissible collection windows, such as weekdays between certain hours, and may exclude weekends or public holidays. By clearly establishing when collections can occur, the clause helps coordinate logistics, prevent disruptions, and ensure both parties have a mutual understanding of access times, thereby reducing the risk of scheduling conflicts or unauthorized collections.
Collection Days and Hours. All collections by Contractor shall be made between the hours of 7:00 a.m. and 7:00 p.m. on weekdays, unless the City authorizes a temporary extension of hours and/or weekend collection as noted otherwise in this Contract. Saturday collection shall not be made before 8:00 a.m. and Sunday collection shall not be made before 9:00 a.m. If complaints are received from Residential Customers that the Contractor violates the provision of the City's noise code, the Contractor shall reroute or otherwise mitigate the noise complaint(s) to the City’s satisfaction. The Contractor shall provide a written explanation to the City of its reroute or mitigation of the noise complaint(s). Collection of Garbage, Recyclables, and Compostables shall occur on the same regularly scheduled day of the week for Single-family Residence Customers. Collection of Garbage, Recyclables, and Compostables for Multifamily and Commercial Customers can be scheduled on different days for each material. Collection for each Customer’s material stream should be made as close to a consistent time as possible. All times listed in this Contract are Pacific Time unless otherwise stated. Collection before or after times specified in this section shall be cause for performance fees.
Collection Days and Hours. Collection shall be provided once a month on Wednesday to each of four (4) zones as shown in the map in Exhibit A – Collection Zone Map. Changes to the collection days, collection hours and collection routes require mutual agreement between the Township and the Contractor. Any long-term changes must be affirmed through a notification to the County signed by Contractor and Township documenting the change within thirty days of implementation.
Collection Days and Hours a. The Contractor shall be required to establish and maintain a collection schedule based on the following days and hours as established within Draft Service Agreement provided in Attachment 1:
i. Scheduled days of Collection are limited to Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, and Saturday. No regularly scheduled Collection is allowed on Sunday.
ii. Curbside Residential Collection Services shall be provided between the hours of 6:30 am and 6:30 pm, Monday through Friday.
iii. Dwelling units receiving Multifamily Collection Service, commercial properties and other non-residential Collection sites located adjacent to residential uses (apartments, condominiums, town houses, houses, mobile homes, etc.) shall only be collected between the hours of 6:30 am and 6:30 pm, Monday through Saturday.
iv. Businesses and institutions may be collected from 4:00am until 10:00 pm, subject to approval or denial by the Solid Waste Department.
v. The Contractor shall provide Collection services on all national holidays, except Memorial Day, July Fourth, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day and New Year's Day. When these stated holidays are recognized on a weekday (i.e., Monday through Friday), the schedule for Solid Waste Collection shall be “set back” by one day for the remaining days of the week following the holiday. All scheduled Collection routes shall continue in their normal order with the final day’s Collection, for the week, occurring on Saturday instead of Friday.
vi. All requests to change the days or times of Curbside Residential Collection Service must be submitted to the Solid Waste Department for approval. The County is providing additional documentation that allows the Contractor to capture the complexity of this project. Relevant information is provided as follows: • Attachment 1 – Draft Service Agreement • Attachment 2 – Current agreement and all amendments. • Attachment 3 – Map of all ▇▇▇ County Service Areas • Attachment 4 – Current solid waste and recycling collection rate sheets for the five service areas in ▇▇▇ County. • Attachment 5 – GIS street and address listing for Service Area 4.
Collection Days and Hours. To preserve peace and quiet, Solid Waste shall only be Collected between 7:00 a.m. and 7:00 p.m., Monday through Friday. Saturday Collection is permitted for “Summer Saturday Collection” and for Holiday Collection makeup. If the regularly scheduled Collection day falls on New Year’s Day, Memorial Day, Fourth of July, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, or Christmas Day, Collection days for the remainder of that week shall all be postponed one (1) Collection day. Hauler may not make exceptions to these Collection days and times without advanced written approval from City.
Collection Days and Hours. A. For each Solid Waste account, collection of Solid Waste, Yard Waste, and Recyclable Materials shall occur on the same day. The days for collection of residential and commercial materials in the City shall be Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday between the hours of 7:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. inclusive, and Saturday between 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m.; provided, however, that collection in downtown commercial zones of the City may commence at 4:00
a. m. and shall be completed by 10:00 a.m. on ▇▇▇▇ ▇▇▇▇▇▇ ▇▇▇▇ ▇▇▇ ▇▇▇▇▇▇ to ▇▇▇ ▇▇▇▇▇▇. Service will not be required on Sundays or any of the following holidays: Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day, New Year’s Day, Labor Day, Memorial Day, and Independence Day.
B. When the day of regular collection falls on a legal holiday, as defined by State of Idaho law or by City policy, Franchisee may reschedule the regular collection to the earliest succeeding workday. Saturday collections will be permitted in-lieu-of Friday where such collection was deferred because of the holiday. Franchisee shall notify City in writing within fifteen (15) calendar days after the annual Agreement anniversary date of those holidays that Franchisee will not work for that year.
C. Solid Waste collection at public schools shall be between 7:00 a.m. and 12:00 p.m.
D. Daily collection service, whether residential or commercial, shall be on a regular scheduled hourly basis. Collection times from week to week service for residential and daily service for commercial shall not exceed a time differential of more than a plus or minus one and one-half (1.5) hours.
E. Conditions such as adverse weather conditions or a major equipment breakdown will be considered as justification for a schedule change, provided that any such change shall also be approved by the Public Works Director prior to occurrence of such change. Penalty for deviation from the regular schedule as identified herein shall be Twenty-five Dollars ($25.00) per day of deviation unless otherwise approved by the Public Works Director; provided, however, that no penalty shall be imposed if the deviation from regular schedules occurs as a result of no collection on a holiday or as provided above.
Collection Days and Hours. Residential Scavengers: Each scavenger which is allowed to operate pursuant to the terms of a residential scavenger license shall remove the garbage, and any other matter enumerated in section 4-10-1 of this chapter, from the residential dwellings in all zoning districts of the city on Wednesday of each week between the hours of six thirty o'clock (6:30) A.M. and six o'clock (6:00) P.M. Removal of garbage, or any other matter enumerated in section 4-10-1 of this chapter, is not to be permitted on any other day of the week, or time, in the above enumerated zones by such scavenger without a special permit having been first issued by the mayor, upon application by the scavenger and for good cause shown.

Commercial collection will be provided on Sunday to Customers requesting such service, subject to advance written approval of City (approval may be by e‐mail or other written means, and may come from the City Manager or designee). Contractor may not make exceptions to these Collection days and times without advanced written approval from the City. If the regularly scheduled Collection day falls on New Year’s Day, Memorial Day, Fourth of July, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, or Christmas Day, Collection days for the remainder of that week shall all be postponed one Collection day, with Saturday Residential collection service permitted if necessary to accommodate postponed Friday Collections, and Sunday Commercial collection service permitted if necessary to accommodate postponed Saturday Collections. On such postponed Collection days, where Residential Collection may fall on the scheduled street sweeping day, Carts will typically be placed on the curb instead of in the street to accommodate street sweeping; Contractor must place the Carts post‐Collection back on the curb and out of the street, regardless of where the customer placed the Carts.
