Substitute Teaching Assignments — AESOP. 1. The Board will maintain a list of substitute teachers. Teachers are required to call AESOP or its equivalent, as soon as they are aware of their unavailability for work. Once a teacher has reported unavailability, administration is responsible for arranging for a substitute teacher. 2. Teachers, except with their consent, shall not be required to assume the responsibilities of absent teachers. Teachers who do accept this responsibility shall be compensated at their hourly rate.
