Summer Sessions Clause Samples
Summer Sessions. Cancellation of this contract, for any reason, more than (5) five business days after receiving a room assignment will result in a Liquidated Fee of $250 to be placed on the student’s account.
Summer Sessions. Tuition for summer sessions are not covered by this Agreement. Summer session tuition shall be due and payable per the College's published billing policies.
Summer Sessions. 1. Full-time members of the instructional staff shall be given the right of first refusal in the assignment of summer session courses offered for credit, developmental courses and/or laboratories if they are otherwise qualified to teach these courses pursuant to the selection procedure in Section F of this Article.
2. The Chairperson of each department shall inform the appropriate Academic Officer of the names of those faculty members who have committed themselves to teach summer session courses by April 1 of that year. The Board shall rely on this information for the purpose of administering Section
A. 1. of this Article.
B. The assignment of summer session courses for credit, developmental courses, and/or laboratories to persons other than full-time members of the instructional staff shall be considered tentative, pending cancellation of courses and/or laboratories.
C. No faculty member may teach six (6) hours in a summer session until every member in his/her department who has requested an assignment in that session and who is qualified to teach the course in question is teaching one course in that summer session pursuant to the selection procedure in Section F of this Article, except that no change in course assignment will be made after the first meeting of a course has commenced.
D. No faculty member shall teach more than two (2) courses in a summer session, and no more than four (4) courses in both summer sessions, unless otherwise agreed to between the faculty member and the appropriate Department Chairperson and Academic Vice President.
E. All courses for college credit, developmental courses and/or laboratories which are or traditionally would be offered through an existing department of the College shall be offered through that department.
F. Selection of faculty for summer session assignments shall be as follows: Faculty shall be selected on the basis of seniority as defined in Article XXX, (Reduction in Force), except that full-time faculty members who desire to teach summer session sections, but were not assigned for either summer session I or II, shall have first priority in the summer session of the following year.
Summer Sessions. 1. All teachers with five (5) years’ experience or more in the district may be granted leave of up to five (5) teaching days in June to attend summer sessions out of the Province without loss of pay.
2. Leave of absence may be granted to teachers with less than five years’ experience in the district at cost of the teacher-teaching-on-call to the teacher.
3. A maximum of three persons per year will be granted leave under the provisions of this article.
4. Applications must be submitted to the Superintendent by May 15th, co-signed by the Principal indicating that satisfactory arrangements can be made.
Summer Sessions. Through the Shared Governance process, the President or designee shall establish the calendar for the summer session(s). The administration will make reasonable effort to avoid scheduling overlapping courses such that claiming opportunities for faculty are unnecessarily limited.
Summer Sessions. Subject to availability, Student may request to extend the Contract Period to reside in Student Housing during the Summer session without being registered for the corresponding Summer session classes. Said extension to the Summer session will be subject to the following conditions: (a) the Student was registered for the immediately preceding Spring Semester, (b) the Student is eligible to continue enrollment in the immediately following Fall Semester, (c) the Student has resided in Student Housing during the immediately preceding Spring Semester and has a Housing Contract to reside in Student Housing for the immediately following Fall Semester, and (d) Student is in compliances with all University Regulations and has not been subject to any disciplinary action by University. Student agrees that if Student resides in Student Housing during any Summer Session, regardless of whether Student is enrolled in any classes for that Summer session, then Student will be subject to and comply with all University Regulations, including but not limited to those regarding student conduct and discipline, and the Student and Guarantor will be subject to all terms, conditions and obligations of Student and Guarantor under this Contract.

Year-round occupational/technical programs are 31 exempt from the thirty-nine (39) day provision. For purposes of this subdivision, year-round 32 occupational/technical programs shall mean those programs that require enrollment in an 33 occupational/technical course(s) outside of the established academic year as a condition for 34 continuation in or completion of the program. 36 Two (2) summer sessions shall be considered the equivalent of one (1) academic year
Summer Sessions. $ All graduate assistants on 12-month appointment will receive maximum tuition reimbursement for nine hours if contract extends over entire summer session (10-12 weeks) and must be enrolled in a minimum of three hours during the summer. $ All graduate assistants on nine-month appointment, who are separately employed during summer, will receive maximum tuition reimbursement of four hours per term (five-six weeks) of employment and must be enrolled in a minimum of three hours during the summer.
Summer Sessions. A. All employees shall receive advance notification of grade levels and/or subject matters to be conducted during summer sessions when such courses are established before the termination of the regular school year in June. Any employee desiring a summer session position shall apply therefore and shall be considered for employment by the Superintendent upon receipt of such application.
Summer Sessions. Consistent with Article 21.1, gross quarterly pay shall be distributed across the applicable number of pay periods in a quarter. Although there are five (5) pay periods in Summer Session and six (6) pay periods in Autumn, Winter, and Spring Quarters, the number of pay periods will not impact gross quarterly pay.
