Surface Tolerance Sample Clauses

The Surface Tolerance clause defines the acceptable range of deviation or imperfection allowed on a surface in a construction or manufacturing project. It typically specifies measurable limits for flatness, smoothness, or levelness, and may reference industry standards or testing methods to assess compliance. By clearly outlining these tolerances, the clause helps ensure that finished surfaces meet quality expectations and prevents disputes over minor imperfections that do not affect functionality or safety.
Surface Tolerance. Add the following:
Surface Tolerance. Provide a compacted surface in accordance with Section 423.3.5.5 “Surface tolerance”, Section 401 and these supplemental specifications. The Contactor shall profile the pavement surface that will be recycled, prior to beginning HIR work. The Contractor shall profile the pavement surface following the completion of HIR work. Any reduction in average IRI per 0.10 mile or bumps / dips that exceed the before HIR profile shall be corrected by the Contractor. Corrective measures may include, diamond grind followed by fog seal, mill and replace with approved HMA or recycle a second time or alternate as approved by the Project Manager. All corrective actions shall be responsibility of the Contractor. All corrected pavement shall be re-measured. Smoothness testing shall be paid under bid itemSampling and testing by Contractor. No price adjustments as described in Section 401 shall apply to HIR work under this Contract.
Surface Tolerance. Finished paving surfaces shall not vary more than 1/4" inch measured with a 10' metal straight edge, except at grade changes. No birdbaths or other surface irregularities will be permitted. Correct irregularities as directed.
Surface Tolerance. The asphalt mixture will be accepted on the roadway with respect to surface tolerance in accordance with the applicable requirements of 334- 3.10.
Surface Tolerance. The concrete surface shall not vary more than ¼” under a 10’ straight edge when measured in any direction.
Surface Tolerance. Section 409.3(l) but replace the requirement for defective pavement with the following: The pavement is defective if irregularities are more than 1/4-inch.
Surface Tolerance. The complete surface of the Full Depth Recycled course shall be shaped and maintained to a tolerance, above or below the required cross sectional shape, of ⅜ inch.
Surface Tolerance. 1 Concrete tolerance in accordance with CSA-A23.1/A23.2, straight edge method.
