Surviving Dependent Sample Clauses

The Surviving Dependent clause defines who qualifies as a surviving dependent for the purposes of a contract or policy, typically in the context of benefits or entitlements following the death of a primary participant. This clause usually outlines criteria such as relationship to the deceased (e.g., spouse, child, or other dependents) and may specify conditions like age, financial dependency, or residency. Its core function is to ensure clarity and prevent disputes by explicitly identifying eligible individuals who may continue to receive benefits or coverage after the primary participant's death.
