Teacher Availability. All teachers shall be available for conferences with students, parents and staff members when necessary. Staff members are required to attend faculty meetings, departmental meetings, and grade level meetings unless the principal approves their absence. Teachers shall also be available for student supervision on a rotation basis. Teachers understand the importance of teacher representation at after-school activities to support academics as well as extra-curricular activities and to ▇▇▇▇▇▇ the relationship between schools and the community. It is the intent that participation in these events shall be evenly shared among departments, grade levels, subject matters, and/or other appropriate qualifications and that not all teachers need to attend every event. Teachers may be required to participate in not more than three (3) non- compensated student activities after school hours during the school year. This is not inclusive of parent/teacher conferences, back-to-school nights, graduation/continuation ceremonies, and open houses.
Teacher Availability. Teachers, as professionals, shall be available as needed by appointment to consult with students, parents or administrators before the beginning of class work in the morning and after the regular dismissal of students.
