TEACHER SUPERVISION AND EVALUATION. 1. All reports on the work of a teacher shall be in writing and no supplementary oral or written report shall be made. 2. At least twenty-one (21) days prior to commencing observations, the evaluator(s) shall meet with the teacher and seek agreement on the purposes of the evaluation, the time span and the criteria and standards to be applied. The twenty-one (21) day period may be waived at the discretion of the teacher involved. When a teacher is informed that she will be evaluated, the approximate date of the commencement of the evaluation shall be provided. 3. No criteria shall be applied which relate to aspects of the learning situation over which the teacher does not have both responsibility and control. 4. Each report shall be based on not less than three (3) observations which reflect the teachers' assignment. 5. Involvement or non-involvement in extra curricular activities, participation in union activities or matters not related to teaching duties are outside the scope of evaluating and reporting on the work of a teacher. 6. Periods chosen for observation shall not be at abnormal or inappropriate times and the teacher shall have the opportunity to select at least two (2) of the observation times. 7. Following each observation, the evaluator(s) shall discuss with the teacher her observations. Such observations shall be provided to the teacher in the form of a written anecdotal statement within two (2) working days of the observation. Any areas that may be considered unsatisfactory by the evaluator(s) shall be identified. 8. Evaluations shall be conducted by an Administrative Officer of the school to which the teacher is assigned and/or the Superintendent. At the discretion of the Administrative Officer, a second qualified evaluator may assist in the evaluation process. 9. Notwithstanding Article E.14.8, should a teacher request an evaluator other than listed above, the request shall not be unreasonably denied. 10. Reports shall reflect any discrepancy between the teacher's assignment, professional training and preferences of teaching subjects and grades. 11. The content of a report shall be based solely on the personal observations of the evaluator(s). Judgements shall be adequately substantiated. 12. In the event of a less than satisfactory report, a written plan of assistance shall be developed by the Administrative Officer and teacher. Effective teacher supervision coordinates, stimulates, and guides teachers' professional growth in whatever ways are most likely to enable them to share the best of their being, their talents, and their intellects with students and to elicit, in kind, the best of these qualities from students. It seeks to uphold the educational standards established by the School Committee exemplified by maximal learning, effective and interesting teaching, democratic treatment of students, and the maintenance of an emotional climate which will maximize a student's desire and capacity to learn. 2. Material derogatory to a teacher's conduct, service, character, or personality shall not be placed in his or her personnel file in the Superintendent's office unless the teacher has been given an opportunity to review the written report of the incident in question within ten (10) school days of its having occurred. The teacher shall acknowledge that he or she has had said opportunity to review such material by affixing his or her signature to the file copy within ten (10) school days of having received a copy of the report. In the event that the teacher has refused to sign the material within ten (10) school days, an Officer of the Association shall be asked to witness that the teacher has seen the material and refused to sign it. It shall be expressly understood that the teacher’s signing of the report in no way indicates agreement with the contents thereof. The teacher shall also have the right to submit a written answer to such material and this answer shall be reviewed by the Superintendent and attached to the file copy, if such reply is made within ten (10) school days of the teacher’s having signed the report. 3. In conducting investigations into complaints brought against a teacher, School Committee policy KEB/KEB-R shall be followed. This policy established that complaints about a teacher should be directed to the teacher first. If the complaint goes to the principal/supervisor first, the teacher should be notified immediately and a meeting between the teacher and the complainant is suggested. Refer to the district website for the full policy. 4. The Evaluation Procedure and Instrument dated June 2016, is hereby incorporated by reference into this Agreement. TEACHER SUPERVISION AND EVALUATION. A. The District will administer the Annual Professional Performance Review Process as agreed to by the District and the Association. B. Teacher Personnel File Official teacher files in a school shall be maintained under the following circumstances: 1. No material derogatory to a teacher's conduct, service, character or personality shall be placed in the file unless the teacher has had an opportunity to review the material. The teacher shall acknowledge that he/she had the opportunity to review such material by affixing his/her signature on the actual copy to be filed and return the actual copy to be filed within ten (10) school days. Such signature merely signifies that he/she had read the material to be filed and does not necessarily agree with its contents. However, any incident which has not been reduced to writing within three months of its occurrence, exclusive of the summer vacation period, may not later be added to the file. 2. The teacher shall have the right to answer any material filed, and his/her answer shall be attached to the file copy. 3. Upon request by the teacher, he/she shall be permitted to examine his/her file. 4. The teacher shall be permitted to reproduce any material in his/her file. 5. Material will be removed from the files when a teacher's claim that it is inaccurate or unfair is sustained by the Board of Education. 6. External references shall be excluded from the copy available for teacher examination.

  • Faculty Selection, Supervision, and Evaluation A. Faculty for a dual credit course will be approved and employed by Hill College. The instructor must meet credential requirements of Hill College and minimum requirements as specified by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges (SACSCOC). Each faculty member assigned to teach an academic course will have a master’s degree plus 18 hours in the specific discipline. Technical course instructors will have at least an associate degree and three years of work experience in the related business or industry. B. Instructors teaching dual credit courses must meet the same standards, review, and approval procedures as full- time, regular Hill College faculty. C. Faculty for a dual credit course who are not a full-time faculty member of Hill College report directly to the appropriate ▇▇▇▇ of Instruction for the pathway in which the course(s) is being taught. The college shall supervise and evaluate part-time faculty teaching dual credit courses using the same or comparable procedures used for full-time faculty employed by college. D. The performance appraisal process for dual credit instructors will be conducted by the immediate supervisor and reviewed by the second line supervisor prior to the appraisal interview with the employee. The dual credit faculty evaluation process will mirror the evaluation process used at the college for all full-time faculty members and will be done according to the college policy manual. All dual credit faculty will be periodically evaluated using the following means: 1) random classroom observation by the immediate supervisor of that discipline, 2) student evaluations and 3) self-evaluation. E. All Dual Credit faculty instructors will be supervised by the following means: i. When dual credit classes are visited during a classroom observation, supervisors will ask to see items such as the textbook, observe instruction and interaction with students, and request a class syllabus and a sample of class tests, quizzes, labs, and/or projects. ii. Dual Credit instructors are given a self-evaluation form and are asked to fill it out and return the form to their Hill College supervisor. iii. All dual credit instructors are given a master syllabus for the course. The master syllabus provides grading policy and student learning outcomes. iv. All dual credit instructors are required to participate in the assessment process. v. All dual credit instructors are required to certify rosters. vi. All dual credit instructors are required to submit final grades. F. Faculty teaching courses, which result in the award of college credit, will be regularly employed faculty members of Hill College. All faculty selected by Hill College to teach dual credit classes will be considered employees of Hill College and will be compensated by the college in accordance with Hill College policy, procedures, and guidelines. G. Applications for employment and official transcripts from each college or university attended MUST be submitted and approved prior to the start of classes. All paperwork will be kept on file at Hill College.

  • Program Monitoring and Evaluation The Recipient shall prepare, or cause to be prepared, and furnish to the Association not later than six months after the Closing Date, a report of such scope and in such detail as the Association shall reasonably request, on the execution of the Program, the performance by the Recipient and the Association of their respective obligations under the Legal Agreements and the accomplishment of the purposes of the Financing.”

  • Monitoring and Review The Provider agrees to allow access to the Department for purposes of monitoring and review. This access includes but is not limited to client records, fiscal records, staffing records, policy and procedural manuals, facilities, staff, and children in care of the Department. The Department will conduct quality reviews, which may include site-based quality review visits.

  • Monitoring and Evaluation a. The AGENCY shall expeditiously provide to the COUNTY upon request, all data needed for the purpose of monitoring, evaluating and/or auditing the program(s). This data shall include, but not be limited to, clients served, services provided, outcomes achieved, information on materials and services delivered, and any other data required, in the sole discretion of the COUNTY, that may be required to adequately monitor and evaluate the services provided under this Contract. Monitoring shall be performed in accordance with COUNTY’S established Noncompliance Standards, a copy of which is attached hereto and incorporated by reference as Attachment “C”. b. The AGENCY agrees to permit persons duly authorized by the COUNTY to interview any clients and all current and/or former employees of the AGENCY to be assured of the AGENCY’S satisfactory performance of the terms of this Contract. c. Following such evaluation, monitoring, and/or audit, the COUNTY will deliver a report of its findings and recommendations with regard to the AGENCY’S conformance with this Contract’s terms and conditions to the AGENCY and/or Board of Directors’ President, and members, whenever applicable. If deficiencies are noted, a written notice of corrective action will be issued to the AGENCY which will specify deficiencies and provide a timeline for correction of those deficiencies. Within the designated timeframe in the written notice of corrective action, the AGENCY shall submit to the COUNTY’S CCC manager (“Manager”), or their designee, a corrective action plan to rectify all deficiencies identified by the COUNTY. d. Failure by the AGENCY to correct noted deficiencies, as outlined in the written notice of corrective action, may result in the AGENCY being deemed in breach of the Contract terms. e. The AGENCY shall cooperate with the COUNTY on all reviews to ensure compliance with all applicable COUNTY guidelines and requirements for general fund recipients.
