Common use of Teaching Clause in Contracts

Teaching. (a) The parties acknowledge the important role of practitioners in providing training of doctors in training in the achievement and maintenance of a sufficient medical workforce. It is further acknowledged that adequate levels of training for doctors in training are necessary to the maintenance of acceptable standards of quality and safety. (b) The employer may require a practitioner, excluding interns, to engage in medical education/teaching as directed.
