Technology Type and Level of Technology Maturity Sample Clauses
Technology Type and Level of Technology Maturity a. Discuss the type and stage of the Project’s proposed technology (e.g. concept state, testing stage, commercially operating, utility-scale operation, ample history of operation).
b. If the technology has not been commercially demonstrated, identify whether the developer has or plans to have a demonstration project. Describe the project (MW, hours run), its results (e.g., temperature, GWh, or other appropriate metric) and its ability to perform on a commercial scale.
c. If hybrid technology will be deployed, describe the configuration and potential issues and/or benefits created by the hybrid technology.
Technology Type and Level of Technology Maturity. Bottle Rock uses a well known and proven geothermal generation technology that has been in operation since 1985, and the Project was restarted in 2007. This is a mature technology.
Technology Type and Level of Technology Maturity. The Project’s 280 MW (gross)/ 250 MW (net) plant size represents what Abengoa Solar considers to be an optimum size for a parabolic trough power plant. The Project will utilize two 140-MW (gross)/ 125 MW (net) steam turbines configured in two individual power islands. The steam turbines are specifically designed for this solar-thermal application and will be similar to Abengoa Solar’s turbines deployed at projects under development in Spain and in Arizona. Turbine suppliers have quoted delivery schedules that will meet the Project schedule and orders are expected to be placed shortly. Abengoa Solar will utilize wet cooling at the site after receiving a favorable decision from the CEC. The plant was configured to minimize environmental impacts.
Technology Type and Level of Technology Maturity. The Project uses a twin jet impulse hydraulic turbine, which is a widely commercialized, proven technology.
Technology Type and Level of Technology Maturity. The Project expects to use General Electric (“GE”)
Technology Type and Level of Technology Maturity a. Discuss the type and stage of the Project’s proposed technology (e.g. concept state, testing stage, commercially operating, utility-scale operation, ample history of operation). The Project will use crystalline silicon PV panels, mounted on single-axis trackers. Crystalline silicon PV is a mature, proven, widely installed and regularly financed solar generation technology solution. The Project will use modules, inverters, and trackers that are all field-proven and deemed financeable by third-party financiers. Several utility scale projects using similar technology are in operation worldwide.
b. If the technology has not been commercially demonstrated, identify whether the developer has or plans to have a demonstration project. Describe the project (MW, hours run), its results (e.g., temperature, GWh, or other appropriate metric) and its ability to perform on a commercial scale. The technology has been commercially demonstrated; therefore, this section is not applicable.
c. If hybrid technology will be deployed, describe the configuration and potential issues and/or benefits created by the hybrid technology. The technology proposed is not a hybrid technology; therefore, this section is not applicable.
Technology Type and Level of Technology Maturity. The Project generates RECs from a wind facility that employs 22 Vestas 3.0 megawatt (“MW”) V90 turbines, which are proven technology. Since the introduction of the Vestas 3.0 MW turbine in 2002, Vestas has installed more than 1,000 of these turbines around the world.
Technology Type and Level of Technology Maturity. The Project will use solar PV panels; NRG has not finalized the exact type of panels or the manufacturer of the panels. Solar PV panels have been used in installations throughout the world, in both small and utility scale applications. As noted above, NRG owns the 21 ▇▇ ▇▇▇▇▇▇ solar PV power plant.
Technology Type and Level of Technology Maturity. The Project will use fixed tilt, non-tracking photovoltaic technology. This technology is used extensively in solar power plants and on rooftops throughout the world.
