Common use of Temporary Assignment Pay Clause in Contracts

Temporary Assignment Pay. Any employee who is officially assigned to perform a significant portion of the responsibilities of a position in a higher class by the Chief of Police or duly authorized designee because of the absence of an employee shall, after ten (10) days, be granted a five percent (5%) increase in his/her hourly rate of pay.
