Common use of Temporary Nurses Clause in Contracts

Temporary Nurses. Nurses hired to work during a period of up to six (6) months when the Employer requires a temporarily augmented work force necessitated by vacation, sick leave or an approved leave of absence, or temporary staffing shortage where after posting for at least one (1) month there are no qualified applicants are classified as temporary nurses. In no event shall this period be greater than six (6) months in a twelve-month period.
