  • Owner Inclusion It is understood and agreed by all parties that “Owner/s” shall include the City of Lincoln, Lancaster County, Nebraska and ▇▇▇▇▇▇▇-▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇ County Public Building Commission. Whenever in the Contract documents, including the instructions to bidders, specifications, insurance requirements, bonds, and terms and conditions or any other documents which are a part of the Contract, a singular entity is referenced (i.e., “the City” or “the County” or “Building Commission”) it shall mean the “Owners” encompassing the City of Lincoln, Lancaster County and ▇▇▇▇▇▇▇-▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇ County Building Commission. Notwithstanding the foregoing, the duties and obligations of the City, the County, and the Building Commission pursuant to the Contract shall be treated as divisible and severable duties and obligations, and default by any one of the City, the County, or the Building Commission shall not be attributed to any other of the Owners, but shall remain the sole obligation of the defaulting entity.

  • Diversity and Inclusion 7.1 Consistent with the values of the Employer, the Parties to this Agreement recognise the importance of investing for the future and creating a flexible and inclusive workplace where diversity is embraced and supported. 7.2 The Parties agree that creating an accessible work environment that facilitates flexible and inclusive work practices and strategies around the attraction, engagement and retention of Employees, who represent the communities within which we operate, is important. 7.3 The Employer, Employees and the Union recognise the importance of fair and inclusive treatment of all people, irrespective of gender. 7.4 The provisions of this Agreement are to be gender neutral and gender inclusive. 7.5 All pronouns used in this Agreement, whether used in the masculine, feminine or neuter gender shall include all other genders, and the singular shall include the plural and vice versa. 7.6 The Employer will ensure that equal opportunities for recruitment, career growth and development are provided to all Employees, irrespective of gender.

  • EMPLOYER AND UNION SHALL ACQUAINT NEW EMPLOYEES The Employer agrees to acquaint new employees with the fact that a Collective Agreement is in effect and with the conditions of employment set out in the Articles dealing with Union Security and Dues Check-off. The Employer agrees to provide the name, worksite phone number, and location of the new employee's ▇▇▇▇▇▇▇ in the letter of hiring. Whenever the ▇▇▇▇▇▇▇ is employed in the same work area as the new employee, the employee's immediate supervisor will introduce her to her ▇▇▇▇▇▇▇. The Employer agrees that a Union ▇▇▇▇▇▇▇ will be given an opportunity to interview each new employee within regular working hours, without loss of pay, for thirty (30) minutes sometime during the first thirty (30) days of employment for the purpose of acquainting the new employee with the benefits and duties of Union membership and the employee's responsibilities and obligations to the Employer and the Union.

  • Singular Includes the Plural; Gender; Title Reference Whenever the singular number is used in this Contract and when required by the context, the same shall include the plural, and the use of any gender, be it masculine, feminine or neuter, shall include all of the genders, and the word “person” or “entity” shall include corporation, firm, partnership, or any other combination or association. The use of the title “Bidder”, “Vendor”, “Contractor” or “Consultant” within this contract or associated bid documents shall be deemed interchangeable and shall refer to the person or entity with whom the City of Sparks is contracting for the service or product referenced within this contract.

  • Number and Gender Whenever the context so requires, the plural or singular shall include each other and the use of any gender shall include all genders.
