Theses. From the time when a graduate thesis proposal has been finally approved by the Graduate Studies Committee, it shall be retained by the School of Graduate Studies for twelve (12) months unless, by mutual agreement between the supervisor of the thesis and the supervisee, it is decided that it may then be released and deposited in the Library. Otherwise, at the end of the twelve (12) months the completed thesis will be deposited in the Library.
Theses. 7.1 One copy of any Ph.D. thesis or similar academic document relating to the Experiment must be sent by the Collaborating Institution(s) concerned to the CERN Library for inclusion in its collection.
Theses. Nothing in this Agreement shall impose restrictions on the content or handling, for academic purposes, of theses of the Participant in a University Project. Nonetheless, the Centre may request, in writing, that the Participant delay publication or disclosure of a thesis for a period not to exceed one (1) year from the date of intended publication or disclosure, only if such publication or disclosure would prevent protection or commercialization of any Centre Intellectual Property or research results arising from performance of a University Project. The Centre may also request that a thesis defence be held in camera and that the members of the thesis examination board, including the external examiner(s), be required to sign a non-disclosure agreement. Theses. At the end of their study program, the students nominated for the DD program shall produce a master thesis written in German. It is stipulated in the AAU curriculum that this thesis may also be written in the student’s mother tongue (Italian). The value in ECTS credit is equivalent to 24 ECTS. The work related to the thesis may foresee/consider detailed studies in areas of interest. The thesis shall be presented at both institutions. The students nominated for the DD program will complete their master thesis in either the home or the host institution. To this purpose, each student nominated for the DD program will choose one main supervisor from the institution where the thesis work is carried out. A second supervisor shall be allocated from the other institution. The master final exam will include an oral defence of the thesis work and will be given at the home institution. The exam final grade will be given on the basis of the student's career and of the thesis defence. Independent grades will be assigned according to the criteria of both institutions. After the final exam, an official document will be filled and signed by the examination board in agreement with the administrative rules of both institutions. This document will trigger the final degree release by both institutions. Thereafter, the student shall be awarded the degree "Mag.phil." by the Alpen-Adria-Universität Klagenfurt and the degree “Dottere / Dottoressa Magistrale in Lingue e letterature europee ed extraeuropee, curriculum letteratura austriaca”, from academic year 2016/17 onwards “Dottere / Dottoressa Magistrale in Lingue e letterature europee ed extraeuropee, curriculum letteratura e cultura austriaca” by the University of Udine, with all the legal effects in both countries.

The students nominated for the DD program will complete their master thesis in either the home or the host institution. To this purpose, each student nominated for the DD program will choose one main supervisor from the institution where the thesis work is carried out. A second supervisor shall be allocated from the other institution. The master final exam will include an oral defence of the thesis work and will be given at the home institution. It shall be organized under the responsibilities of both institutions The exam final grade will be given on the basis of the student's career and of the thesis defence. Independent grades will be assigned according to the criteria of both institutions. After the final exam, an official document will be filled and signed by the examination board in agreement with the administrative rules of both institutions. This document will trigger the final degree release by both institutions. Thereafter, the student shall be awarded the degree of the home institution and the legal effects of the corresponding academic degree of the host institution.

Theses. At the end of their study program, the students nominated for the DD Program shall produce a master thesis written in English. This thesis shall be presented at both institutions. Students participating in this DD Program can complete their master thesis in either the home or the host institution. The DD Program candidate can choose one main supervisor from the institution where the theses work is carried out and shall be allocated a second supervisor from the other institution. Both supervisors should be members of the examination board for the master exam. If the main supervisor comes from the “host institution” he/she may join the examination board by teleconferencing. Variations of the exam procedure and board composition may be adopted according to changes of the corresponding procedures of either institution.
Theses. The Licensee acknowledges that in respect of any proposed Publication that is a student thesis, clause 12.1(b) will not apply, however the Licensee may require that thesis to be: (a) examined by examiners bound by obligations of confidentiality; and/or (b) embargoed from being publicly available in any library for up to 12 months, until all commercially sensitive Confidential Information of the Licensee has been made available to the public.
