The Towing Services clause defines the terms under which towing services will be provided, including the scope, responsibilities, and conditions for such services. Typically, this clause outlines who is responsible for requesting and paying for towing, the types of vehicles or property covered, and any limitations or exclusions, such as distance or circumstances under which towing is available. Its core practical function is to ensure both parties understand their obligations and expectations regarding towing, thereby preventing disputes and clarifying liability in situations where towing becomes necessary.
Towing Services. If a Member’s vehicle cannot be started or driven safely, eAutorescue may provide tow services up to 10 miles destination as described below. There is a limit of one tow per breakdown incident. Tow services include tows to the nearest repair facility. Members will be responsible for the payment of additional costs and expenses of tows that are in excess of the 10 miles, specified above. Extras will be charged at the then-current rates for the service location and must be paid at the time of service. eAutorescue roadside technicians may perform winching/extrication services on a Member’s vehicle, but only if the vehicle can be safely reached from a reasonable distance (as determined in the discretion of the technician) from a passable, normally traveled road or established thoroughfare, and serviced with the equipment ordinarily used for Emergency Road Services. The roadside technician will assess whether a vehicle will be eligible for winching/extrication. If winching/extrication requires special equipment, more than one truck or additional personnel, the Member may be required to pay for such associated costs. eAutorescue service technicians are available to provide mobile vehicle diagnostics and perform minor repair services for Member vehicles as determined in the discretion of the technician. If the technician is unable to repair the vehicle, Member may elect to have the vehicle towed (subject to the towing terms and conditions, above).
Towing Services. Towing services shall include tow truck, a qualified driver and all fuel, maintenance, repairs, permits, insurance as outlined in the Illinois vehicle code, 625 ILCS 5/12-606 and any other items of expense or equipment necessary to render complete towing service. The towing service shall be licensed by the Illinois Commerce Commission (I.C.C.), and all tow truck drivers shall have a current license issued by the Secretary of State. Towing service shall comply with all Federal, State, I.C.C., and local legal requirements and policies. The towing service will have in operation at all times a minimum of two (2) heavy-duty wreckers each equipped with a 10,000-pound power winch, crane and boom; and one (1) flatbed type heavy-duty wrecker with a 10,000-pound capacity. However, a towing service who is unable to provide the flatbed type wrecker may execute a statement indicating that such a wrecker is available to be brought to a scene. Such statement shall be in writing and indicate the name and location of the alternate towing agency which will provide the flatbed wrecker. If a written contract is executed between the primary towing service and the alternate towing agency, a copy of said contract will be provided to the CITY. This statement will be incorporated as part of the agreement upon acceptance by the CITY. Should the alternate towing agency be used, all tows will be made to the primary towing facility. The towing service shall maintain and keep the equipment in good operating condition and appropriately licensed and inspected by the state. Evidence of license and last inspection shall be submitted to the CITY prior to execution of Agreement. Agency must show proof of ownership and/or contractual agreement acceptance to the city covering the term of the Agreement. The towing service agrees to maintain communication with CITY on a 24-hour availability basis. All trucks shall be equipped with a two-way radio on a commercial frequency for the sole purpose of communicating with the towing services base station and shall be appropriately licensed by the F.C.C. Service under this Agreement is to be rendered only upon request of the CITY. Towing Services. The member will receive one vessel per incident for assistance towing, or other covered service, when the covered vessel becomes disabled while away from the member’s home port. If multiple Sea Tow vessels are required additional charges may apply. Members get priority over non- members.
Towing Services a. A Village police officer or duly-authorized Village employee shall contact Contractor for all towing and storage services.
b. The Contractor shall respond to calls 24 hours a day, seven (7) days a week, no more than 15 minutes from the time of the call. At the time of notification, the Contractor will advise the police officer or Village employee making the service request if the Contractor is unable either to provide the requested service or to respond within the 15-minute response time.
