Trades Assistant. Indicative of the tasks which an employee at this level may perform include the following:
Trades Assistant. An adult employee at this Grade will perform routine duties essentially of a manual nature and may be undertaking structured training to enable the employee to progress to a higher grade.
Trades Assistant. An employee whose main duties comprise a range of manual activities on the shop floor including assisting tradesmen, preparing work for tradesmen, trade related cleaning, storage and handling of goods and materials, distributing goods and materials to the shop floor and / or booking out goods and materials to production department but who does not possess any formal trade qualification shall be classified under this category. Trades Assistant skills shall be assessed against Metal and Engineering Award Classification C11
Trades Assistant. Employees in this classification will be non-trade and include labourers, non-trade workers etc. Employees in this classification will carry out duties within their skills and competence. Employees in the classification will hold an AQF Certificate III in a refrigeration and/or air conditioning trade. Employees in this classification will perform duties incidental and peripheral to their core trade duties. Employees in these classifications will hold an AQF Certificate III in refrigeration and/or air conditioning trade and also hold a licence. Employees in this classification will perform duties incidental and peripheral to their core duties. Classification of Employees into the Grades will be at the discretion of the Company.
Trades Assistant. Labourer means a person primarily engaged in assisting a refrigeration/air conditioning mechanic.
Trades Assistant. An employee at this level shall perform the following indicative tasks: ▪ basic operation of machinery and equipment within the scope of the employee’s statutory and skill level; ▪ non-trade engineering skills; ▪ receiving, dispatching, distributing, sorting, checking, packing, documenting and recording of goods, materials and components; ▪ basic soldering techniques; ▪ ability to measure accurately; ▪ assists one or more tradespersons; A utility worker is an employee who does not fall into the classification of a trades person or trades assistant. Types of employees that would be covered by this classification would include, but not be limited to such work as: ▪ dogman; ▪ rigger; ▪ scaffolder; ▪ crane driver; ▪ mobile or fixed plan operator; ▪ rigid or articulated truck driver; A utility worker shall be required to utilise the skills they possess as and when required by the company from time to time.
Trades Assistant. Permanent level A1: Entry level for this non trades classification and may include but not limited to Labourers, Cleaners, General Hands, Forklift Drivers, Operators etc. Permanent level A2: Applies to permanent employees who have progressed through the probationary period of 6 months, have gained the relevant site experience and have successfully demonstrated their ability to work individually or under limited Supervision. Permanent level A3: Applies to permanent employees who have progressed through the probationary period of 6 months, have gained the relevant site experience, have successfully demonstrated their ability to work individually or with limited Supervision and are required to perform higher technical duties where they have direct accountability for the outcomes of the tasks.
Trades Assistant. An employee who has basic mechanical skills and can perform general workshop duties under supervision. • Labourer: An employee who is capable of carrying out general cleaning and manual duties.

  • Educational Assistance Section 1. Tuition reimbursement shall be provided to employees covered by this collective bargaining AGREEMENT under the same terms and conditions, policies and procedures as the rest of Hennepin County and reflecting a county–wide pool for funding. Where courses are required and certified by the appointing authority as essential to current job performance, such appointing authority shall grant 100% reimbursement for tuition, required fees and required study materials. Section 3. At the request of an employee, an Individual Development Plan shall be established. Any employee making the request shall be provided with paid time to work with their Supervisor or Human Resources to develop a training plan for career development within Hennepin County. Human Resources will be a source of career information, and postings, in which the employee may have an interest. Time allotted for this activity and the training plan adopted shall be subject to mutual agreement of the Employee and Supervisor.
