Traffic Counts Sample Clauses

Traffic Counts. Traffic counts shall reflect normal and/or peak hour traffic conditions, as determined by the Planning Director. (1) Traffic counts used for analysis shall be collected: (A) Within the twelve months prior to the date of the TIA submittal; (B) On Tuesday, Wednesday, or Thursdays; (C) On other peak periods such as noon or weekend periods, if required; and October 1, 2019 Morrisville, NC (D) When school is in session. If not practicable, the Planning Director can approve the use of school traffic estimates. (2) Traffic counts used for analysis should not be collected: (A) On holidays; and (B) When significant weather or traffic incidents occur.

Traffic Counts. The MPO shall (insert: annually or other period of time) collect traffic counts on various roadways throughout the HOST PROVIDER through the use of contracted services. The MPO shall provide these counts to the HOST PROVIDER as they become available.

The types of counts may be vehicle classification, bi-directional and non-directional road tube counts, loops and piezo counts or turning movement, for any duration (period of time) required by the DEPARTMENT. The CONSULTANT may be expected to document the field conditions at the time of the counts. Field documentation may include counter location with reference to State Highway section number and milepost, as recorded on the Straight Line Diagrams. Geometric measurements such as number of lanes, length of storage and taper for turn/merge lanes, types of traffic control, and the location and/or presence of signal boxes and loop detectors, may also be required. The CONSULTANT will be required to document the data collection effort fully and provide this documentation and collected data in an electronic format acceptable to the DEPARTMENT.

Traffic Counts. In an effort to better understand traffic patterns and how these patterns change with road improvements and development, the County has developed a Travel Demand Model. This model can be used to evaluate the effectiveness of an improvement towards reducing congestion and enhancing regional mobility. To ensure the model accurately represents changes within municipal limits, the Municipality shall provide traffic count and land use information as requested. A minimum of five (5) count locations will be requested on an annual basis.
