The payment scheme exchange rate will be the Visa exchange rate. The relevant payment scheme exchange rate is the one that applied on the date Visa processed the non-sterling transaction. The payment scheme exchange rate changes daily − please visit Visa website (▇▇▇▇▇://▇▇▇.▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇.▇▇▇/making- payments/exchange-rates) to find out this rate. When using your card overseas, you may be given the option of paying in sterling at a fixed exchange rate that is presented to you at point of sale. This is called dynamic currency conversion or "DCC" and the exchange rate is provided by local payment schemes. Please ensure that you carefully consider the exchange rate you are being offered. If you are not comfortable with the rate, you can always choose to make the Purchase in the local currency in which case the exchange rate will be determined by the Visa exchange rate explained in the previous paragraph.
