Transit Coverage Clause Samples

The Transit Coverage clause defines the insurance protection provided for goods while they are being transported from one location to another. This coverage typically applies to losses or damages that occur during the shipping process, whether by land, sea, or air, and may include specific conditions such as coverage only during direct transit or while goods are in the custody of a particular carrier. Its core practical function is to allocate risk and provide financial protection against unforeseen events that may damage or destroy goods in transit, ensuring that both the sender and receiver are safeguarded during the transportation process.
