Common use of Transition for Local Switching Clause in Contracts

Transition for Local Switching. 4.2.1 For purposes of this Section 4, the Transition Period for Local Switching is the twelve (12) month period beginning March 11, 2005 and ending March 10, 2006. 4.2.2 For the purposes of this Section 4, Embedded Base shall mean Local Switching and any additional elements that are required to be provided in conjunction therewith that were in service for South Georgia Pre-Paid as of March 10, 2005. Subsequent disconnects or loss of End Users shall be removed from the Embedded Base. 4.2.3 During the Transition Period only, BellSouth shall make Local Switching available for the Embedded Base, in addition to all elements that are required to be provided in conjunction with Local Switching, at the rates, terms and conditions set forth in this Attachment. The Transition Period shall apply only to South Georgia Pre- Paid’s Embedded Base and South Georgia Pre-Paid shall not place new orders for Local Switching pursuant to this Agreement. 4.2.4 The rates for South Georgia Pre-Paid’s Embedded Base of Local Switching during the Transition Period shall be as set forth in Exhibit A. 4.2.5 Effective March 11, 2006, Local Switching will no longer be made available pursuant to this Agreement and any remaining Embedded Base will be disconnected.
