Transitional Provisions. 12.131.1. As from the official date of entry into force of the 01 03 series of amendments, no Contracting Party applying this Regulation shall refuse to grant or refuse to accept type approvals of vehicles, components or separate technical units under Parts I, II or III of this Regulation as amended by the 01 03 series of amendments.
12.231.2. Until 1 September 2019, Contracting Parties applying this Regulation shall not refuse to grant or refuse to accept type approvals of vehicles, components or separate technical units under Part I, II or III of this Regulation as amended by the 02 series of amendments.
31.3. As from 1 May 2024September 2019, Contracting Parties applying this Regulation shall grant approvals only if the type of vehicle, component or separate technical unit to be approved meets the requirements of Part I, II or III of this Regulation as amended by the 03 series of amendments.
31.4. As from 1 September 2021, Contracting Parties applying this Regulation shall not be obliged to accept accept, for the purpose of national or regional type approvals approval, a vehicle, component or separate technical unit which is not type approved under Part I, II or III of the 03 series of amendments to the original version of this Regulation, first issued after 1 May 2024.

As from 1 November 2013, Contracting Parties applying this Regulation may refuse first national registration of a vehicle which does not meet the requirements of this Regulation as amended by Supplement 9 or Supplement 10 or Supplement 11 and is not fitted with an Electronic Stability Control System and a Brake Assist System, both meeting the requirements of Annex 9 to this Regulation.
12.3. As from the official date of entry into force of the 01 series Supplement 11 (30 January 2011) to the original version of amendmentsthis Regulation, no Contracting Party applying this Regulation shall refuse to grant or refuse to accept type approvals ECE approval under this Regulation as amended by the 01 series of amendments.

12.2. As from 1 May 2024, Contracting Parties applying this Regulation shall not be obliged to accept type approvals to the original version of this Regulation, first issued after 1 May 2024.
12.3. Until 1 May 2026, Contracting Parties applying this Regulation shall accept type approvals to the original version of this Regulation, first issued before 1 May 2024Supplement 11.
12.4. As from 1 May 2026, Contracting Parties applying this Regulation shall not be obliged to accept type approvals issued to the original version of this Regulation.
12.5. Notwithstanding paragraph 12.4., Contracting Parties applying this Regulation shall continue to accept type grant approvals issued according to those types of vehicles which comply with the requirements of this Regulation as amended by Supplement 10 to the original version of this Regulation, for vehicles Regulation during the 36 months period which are not affected by follows the changes introduced by the 01 Series date of amendments.

Transitional Provisions. 12.1. As from the official date of entry into force of the 01 12 series of amendments, no Contracting Party applying this Regulation shall refuse to grant or refuse to accept type approvals under this Regulation as amended by the 01 12 series of amendments.
12.2. As from 1 May September 2024, Contracting Parties applying this Regulation shall not be obliged to accept type approvals to the original version preceding series of this Regulationamendments, first issued after 1 May September 2024.
12.3. Until 1 May September 2026, Contracting Parties applying this Regulation shall accept type approvals to the original version preceding series of this Regulationamendments, first issued before 1 May September 2024.

12.5. 12.6. Contracting Parties applying this Regulation shall not refuse to may grant type approvals according to any preceding series of amendments to this Regulation.
12.7. Contracting Parties applying this Regulation or shall continue to grant extensions thereofof existing approvals to any preceding series of amendments to this Regulation.
