Transitional Support Services. The district will provide the following supports and strategies to support job retention: Transportation assistance will be provided, as needed, for as long as the individual remains employed and on Temporary Assistance, provided the individual lives more than one mile or 10 blocks from the place of employment. Transitional transportation assistance will be subject to all other provisions in Section 4.1.b The district will provide the following support services, for up to 90 days after case closing, to individuals whose TA cases have closed due to employment: 1. Assistance with the cost of car repairs and/or insurance will be provided upon request, subject to the restrictions stated in Section 4.1.b. 2. Training and work-related expenses will be provided for any expenses required for employment, including but not limited to: clothing: uniforms, work clothing, specialty items equipment: specialty tools or equipment licensing: licensing or testing fees 3. ▇▇▇▇ rides for employed jobseekers outside of bus service and who do not have access to local bus service or other means of transportation and who are employed by participating employers. All requests are evaluated on a case-by-case basis as to the relevance to retaining employment. Evaluation criteria include, but are not limited to: alternative sources of funding or service; whether other resources are exhausted; estimates from one or more providers of service or material; whether the requested item/service is required or optional; and whether the amount of the request is commensurate with the need.
