Unbundled Packet Switching Clause Samples

The Unbundled Packet Switching clause defines the terms under which a telecommunications provider must offer packet switching services separately from other network services. In practice, this means that customers or third-party service providers can access and utilize packet switching capabilities—such as data transmission over a network—without being required to purchase additional bundled services like voice or traditional circuit-switched offerings. This clause ensures greater flexibility and competition by allowing users to select only the services they need, thereby promoting efficient use of network resources and preventing anti-competitive bundling practices.
Unbundled Packet Switching. Qwest shall provide CLEC with unbundled Packet Switching in a non-discriminatory manner according to the following terms and conditions.
Unbundled Packet Switching. SBC-ASI/8-STATE will provide CLEC unbundled packet switching in situations in which SBC-ASI/8-STATE has placed its DSLAM in a remote terminal if all of the following conditions are satisfied: SBC-ASI/8-STATE or its affiliated ILEC has deployed digital loop carrier systems, including but not limited to, integrated digital loop carrier or universal digital loop carrier systems; or has deployed any other system in which fiber optic facilities replace copper facilities in the distribution section (e.g., end office to remote terminal, pedestal or environmentally controlled vault); There are no spare copper loops capable of supporting the xDSL services CLEC seeks to offer; SBC-ASI/8-STATE’s affiliated ILEC has not permitted CLEC to deploy a Digital Subscriber Line Access Multiplexer (“DSLAM”) at the remote terminal, pedestal or environmentally controlled vault or other interconnection point, nor has the requesting carrier obtained a virtual collocation arrangement at these sub-loop interconnection points as defined by 47 CFR §51.319(b); and SBC-ASI/8-STATE has deployed packet switching capability for its own use. SBC-ASI/8-STATE will be relieved of this unbundling obligation if its permits CLEC to collocate CLEC’s DSLAM in SBC-ASI/8-STATE’s remote terminal, on the same terms and conditions as apply to SBC-ASI/8-STATE’s own DSLAM.
Unbundled Packet Switching. Qwest shall provide SBCT with unbundled Packet Switching in a non-discriminatory manner according to the following terms and conditions. Description
Unbundled Packet Switching. A. ASI-North will provide CLEC unbundled packet switching in situations in which ASI-North has placed its DSLAM in a remote terminal if all of the following conditions are satisfied:
Unbundled Packet Switching. This Section 9.20 is removed, at the request of CLEC, with the expectation that this Section does not currently apply to the Partiesbusiness practice.
Unbundled Packet Switching. 13.1 Where SBCT is unable to obtain spare copper loops necessary to provision an advanced service at the same level of quality as CBT and unable to install a DSLAM at the remote terminal and CBT has placed a DSLAM in the remote terminal, CBT will unbundle and provide access to its DSLAM consistent with the FCC’s UNE Remand Order (CC Docket No. 96-98) or any other applicable FCC or Commission Order.
Unbundled Packet Switching. 38.1 SBC-ASI/13State will provide CLEC unbundled packet switching in situations in which SBC-ASI/13State has placed its DSLAM in a remote terminal if all of the following conditions are satisfied:

Related to Unbundled Packet Switching

  • Unbundled Loops 2.1.1 BellSouth agrees to offer access to unbundled loops pursuant to the following terms and conditions and at the rates set forth in Attachment 11.

  • Switching All of the negotiated rates, terms and conditions set forth in this Section pertain to the provision of local and tandem switching.

  • Tandem Switching 4.5.1 The Tandem Switching capability Network Element is defined as: (i) trunk-connect facilities, which include, but are not limited to, the connection between trunk termination at a cross-connect panel and switch trunk card; (ii) the basic switch trunk function of connecting trunks to trunks; and (iii) the functions that are centralized in the Tandem Switches (as distinguished from separate end office switches), including but not limited to call recording, the routing of calls to operator services and signaling conversion features. 4.5.2 Where <<customer_short_name>> utilizes portions of the BellSouth network in originating or terminating traffic, the Tandem Switching rates are applied in call scenarios where the Tandem Switching Network Element has been utilized. Because switch recordings cannot accurately indicate on a per call basis when the Tandem Switching Network Element has been utilized for an interoffice call originating from a UNE port and terminating to a BellSouth, Independent Company or Facility-Based CLEC office, BellSouth has developed, based upon call studies, a melded rate that takes into account the average percentage of calls that utilize Tandem Switching in these scenarios. BellSouth shall apply the melded Tandem Switching rate for every call in these scenarios. BellSouth shall utilize the melded Tandem Switching Rate until BellSouth has the capability to measure actual Tandem Switch usage in each call scenario specifically mentioned above, at which point the rate for the actual Tandem Switch usage shall apply. The UNE Local Call Flows set forth on BellSouth's website, as amended from time to time and incorporated herein by this reference, illustrate when the full or melded Tandem Switching rates apply for specific scenarios.

  • Unbundled Voice Loops (UVLs) 2.2.1 BellSouth shall make available the following UVLs:

  • Unbundled Network Element Combinations 5.1. Unbundled Network Element Combinations shall include: 1) Enhanced Extended Links (EELs); 2) UNE Loops/Special Access Combinations; 3) Loop/Port Combinations; and 4)
