Uniform Allowances. An Employee of the Police Department, other than the Assistant Communications Supervisor, shall be reimbursed for up to $900 of the cost of appropriate uniforms and uniform articles purchased during any fiscal year (July 1 through June 30) An Employee of the Fire Department shall be reimbursed for up to $900 of the cost of appropriate uniforms and uniform articles purchased during any fiscal year (July I through June 30). The Assistant Communications Supervisor shall be reimbursed for up to $500 of the cost of appropriate uniforms and uniform articles purchased during any fiscal year (July 1 through June 30). An Employee of the Police Department, other than the Assistant Communications Supervisor, shall be reimbursed for up to $200 of the cost of cleaning and repairing appropriate uniforms and uniform articles during any fiscal year (July 1 through June 30). Itemized receipts shall be submitted to the Department Head to support all requests for reimbursement. Upon separation from Town employment, an Employee must return to the Town all "gear" (fire protection clothing, weapons, holsters, badges, etc.) that were issued to the employee by the Town. An Employee promoted into or from within the bargaining unit shall receive up to five hundred dollars ($500.00) for the purchase of appropriate uniforms and uniform articles. This is in addition to the fiscal year reimbursements as outlined above. The Fire Department shall provide, for each employee, turnout gear as follows: 1 structural helmet The Police Department shall issue one (1) ballistic vest for each sworn Police Department Employee.

9. The Police Department shall issue one (1) ballistic vest for each sworn Police Department Employee.
