Union Secondment Clause. The Union Delegate may request in writing, leave without pay in order to undertake a secondment with the Union. Such secondment may be up to 6 months in the first instance and if agreed, may extend to 12 months. Service whilst on secondment with the Union will count as continuing service for the purpose of long service leave accruals only. Annual leave and personal leave will not continue to accrue during the period of leave without pay. The Union will be responsible for all wages to be paid to the Delegate during this period.
