Breaks Between Shifts Clause Samples

The "Breaks Between Shifts" clause establishes the minimum required rest period that must occur between the end of one work shift and the start of the next for an employee. Typically, this clause specifies a set number of hours—such as eight or twelve—during which the employee cannot be scheduled to work, ensuring adequate time for rest and recovery. By mandating these breaks, the clause helps prevent employee fatigue, supports health and safety, and ensures compliance with labor regulations regarding working hours.
