DAYS AND HOURS OF WORK AND OVERTIME Clause Samples

The "Days and Hours of Work and Overtime" clause defines the standard working schedule for employees, including the specific days and hours they are expected to work, as well as the conditions under which overtime may be required or permitted. Typically, this clause outlines the normal workweek (such as Monday to Friday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.) and details how overtime is calculated, such as payment rates for hours worked beyond the standard schedule. Its core practical function is to set clear expectations for both employers and employees regarding work schedules and compensation for extra hours, thereby reducing misunderstandings and ensuring compliance with labor laws.

Once senior employees have bid their runs, the next most senior employee shall indicate their choice as soon as possible but in no case shall they take longer than two (2) working days to do so.
