UNION SECURITY AND DUES. 5.01 All employees who are presently employed by the Company must, as a condition of employment, become and/or maintain their Union membership in good standing. For the purposes of this Collective Agreement, the sole definition of membership in good standing means that they must pay in accordance with the provisions of this Collective Agreement, the regularly prescribed initiation fee, regular monthly Union dues, and periodic assessments uniformly required of all members in the bargaining unit. 5.02 New employees shall make application for Union membership on cards supplied by the Union prior to the completion of their probationary period and the Company will forward their Membership Application cards to the Union following their probationary period. 5.03 The Company agrees to deduct from the first pay of an eligible employee each month, initiation fees and monthly dues and to remit the monies so deducted together with a list showing from whom and in what amount deductions were made, to the Secretary-Treasurer of the Union on or before the 10th of the following month. The Secretary-Treasurer of the Union shall notify the Company by letter of any change in the amount of Union dues, and such notification shall be the Company’s authority to make the deductions specified. 5.04 The Company will, at the time of making each remittance hereunder to the Secretary- Treasurer of the Union, update the Union’s Pre-billing statement showing the following information from whose pay deductions have been made: a) all monthly dues for members to be submitted with current address, postal code and Social Insurance Number; b) twelve (12) check-offs per year (calendar month); c) Monthly: - New members to be listed in alphabetical order with current address, postal code, Social Insurance Number and date of hire. - Terminations or resignations to be clearly identified with current address, postal code, Social Insurance Number and date of termination or resignation. - Addresses to be updated as well as name changes i.e. marriage. 5.05 The Company will list the annual regular Union dues paid by each employee on his Income Tax T-4 Statement. 5.06 The Union agrees to indemnify the Company and save it harmless against any and all claims which may arise in complying with the provisions of Article 3. 5.07 The Company agrees to remit, twice annually, to the Union, a complete list of updated addresses and phone numbers for all employees in the bargaining unit.

The Union shall advise the Company of the name, position and address of the aforementioned designated Guard and its failure to do so shall relieve the Company of its obligation to remit the monies so deducted together with a list showing from whom and in what amount deductions were made, to the Secretary-Treasurer of the Union on or before the 10th of the following month. The Secretary-Treasurer of the Union shall notify herein provided for until the Company by letter of is so advised. 5.03 The Union agrees to defend and hold the Company completely harmless against all claims and demands should any change person at any time contend or claim that the Company has acted wrongfully or illegally in making the amount of aforementioned deduction for Union dues, and such notification shall be the Company’s authority to make the deductions specified. 5.04 The Company willwill not be responsible for the collection of any dues where because of any absence from work, at the time of making each remittance hereunder to employee has no earnings from which the Secretary- Treasurer of the Union, update the Union’s Pre-billing statement showing the following information from whose pay deductions have been made: a) all monthly dues for members are required to be submitted with current address, postal code and Social Insurance Number; b) twelve (12) check-offs per year (calendar month); c) Monthly: - New members to be listed in alphabetical order with current address, postal code, Social Insurance Number and date of hire. - Terminations or resignations to be clearly identified with current address, postal code, Social Insurance Number and date of termination or resignation. - Addresses to be updated as well as name changes i.e. marriagededucted. 5.05 The Company will list agrees to make every effort to provide email addresses of the annual regular Union employees on the monthly dues paid by each employee on his Income Tax T-4 Statementreport. 5.06 The Union In the event the Company is unable to provide the email addresses monthly the Company agrees to indemnify the Company and save it harmless against provide any and all claims which may arise in complying with email addresses they have upon request of the provisions of Article 3Union. 5.07 The Company agrees to remit, twice annually, to the Union, a complete list of updated addresses and phone numbers for all employees An employee in the bargaining unitunit described in paragraph 2.01 shall become and remain a member in good standing of the Union as a condition of continued employment, upon the completion of his probationary period. 5.08 The Company shall deduct from the earnings of each employee who has completed the probationary period such initiation fee as the Union may prescribe from time to time by its constitution or by-laws. The Union will give the Company written notice of the amount of such initiation fee and, unless the Company is so notified, the Company is under no obligation to deduct such initiation fee. 5.09 The Company shall show the yearly union dues deductions on the employees' T-4 slip. 5.10 The Company will permit pre-arranged review of the Company's current sites, including the hours of work for the site operation, and telephone numbers to contact each site for verification purposes of the President of the Union or his designate, in the presence of the Employer's Branch Manager or his designate. Such access is limited to normal business hours at the Company's Branch Office. At least forty-eight (48) hours notice will be given.

UNION SECURITY AND DUES. 5.01 All employees who are presently employed by 3.01 Subject to provisions of the Company mustOntario Labour Relations Act, it is agreed that all Employees shall be required to pay dues as a condition of employment. Said list shall be in alphabetical order by name and it will set out the following additional information with respect to each member on the list: 1) the member’s hourly rate; 2) the total hours worked by the member during the period for which dues were deducted; 3) the amount of dues deducted from the wages paid to each member for the period in which dues were deducted; 4) the member’s current employment status; 5) the member’s date of birth; 6) the member’s date of hire; and 7) the Employer’s most recent contact information for the member. 3.04 Each year during the term of this Agreement, the Employer will show the amount of the dues deducted from Employees on the T4 slips issued to Employees. 3.05 The Union shall indemnify and save harmless the Employer, its agents and/or employees acting on behalf of the Employer from any and all employees claims, demands, actions, or causes of claims, demands, actions, or causes of action, arising out of or in any way connected with the bargaining unitcollection of such dues and initiation fees for Union under this Agreement.

(j) An alphabetical listing, by classification showing all full-time and part- time employees on a monthly basis. 6.06 The Employer will supply to the Union within one (1) week: (a) A list of all employees that have posted to a new job posting and the successful applicant, (b) The successful applicant to every shift bid

Each employee shall com- plete the bottom section of the United Steelworkers member- ship and dues authorization form. 3.03 All dues, initiation fees and assessments shall be remit- ▇▇▇ to remit the monies so deducted together with a list showing from whom Union forthwith and in what amount deductions were made, any event no later than fif- teen (15) days following the last day of the month in which the remittance was deducted. UNION SECURITY AND DUES. 5.01 2.1 It shall be a condition of employment that all new employees in the bargaining unit, as described in Article 1.1, shall become members of the Union not later than the date on which the employee completes the probationary period and shall therefore maintain such membership. 2.2 All employees who are presently employed by the Company must, as a condition of their continued employment, become and/or maintain their Union membership in good standing. For authorize the purposes of this Collective Agreement, the sole definition of membership in good standing means that they must pay in accordance with the provisions of this Collective Agreement, the regularly prescribed initiation fee, regular monthly Union dues, and periodic assessments uniformly required of all members in the bargaining unit. 5.02 New employees shall make application for Union membership on cards supplied by the Union prior to the completion of their probationary period and the Company will forward their Membership Application cards to the Union following their probationary period. 5.03 The Company agrees Employer to deduct weekly Union dues from the first (1st) pay of an eligible employee each the month, initiation fees and monthly dues and under the formula as prescribed by the local Union. The Employer will remit such monies to remit the monies Local Union in the amounts so deducted together with under this provision no later than the fifteenth (15th) day of the succeeding month, listing the employees from whose pay such deductions have been made and also the names of any employees covered by this Agreement who have left the bargaining unit since the last payment. In no case will the monthly remittance per employee be less than four times the weekly dues. During the term of this Agreement such deduction authorization shall be irrevocable. ▪ An employee who works one (1) day or more in a month, which has four (4) weeks, must pay a minimum of four (4) weeks Union dues for that month. ▪ An employee who works one (1) day or more in a month, which has five (5) weeks, must then pay a minimum of five (5) weeks Union dues for that month. ▪ An employee off work, for any reason, shall have Union dues deducted in double upon his return to work until the employee’s dues are paid up-to-date, so that at the end of the year the employee has paid Union dues for 52 weeks. ▪ Dues remittance list showing of employee should include names and social insurance numbers from whom and in what amount which deductions were made, to the Secretary-Treasurer of the Union on or before the 10th of the following month. The Secretary-Treasurer of the Union shall notify the Company by letter of any change in the amount of Union dues, and such notification shall be the Company’s authority to make the deductions specified. 5.04 The Company will, at the time of making each remittance hereunder to the Secretary- Treasurer of the Union, update the Union’s Pre-billing statement showing the following information from whose pay deductions have been made: a) all monthly dues for members to be submitted with current address, postal code and Social Insurance Number; b) twelve (12) check-offs per year (calendar month); c) Monthly: - New members to be listed in alphabetical order with current address, postal code, Social Insurance Number and date of hire. - Terminations or resignations to be clearly identified with current address, postal code, Social Insurance Number and date of termination or resignation. - Addresses to be updated as well as name changes i.e. marriage. 5.05 The Company will list the annual regular Union dues paid by each employee on his Income Tax T-4 Statement. 5.06 2.3 The Union agrees to will indemnify the Company and save it the Commission harmless from and against any and all claims and demands which may arise in complying with be made by an employee against the provisions Commission arising out of Article 3the deduction from his pay of such dues and his remittance to the Union pursuant to this Article. 5.07 2.4 When a new employee is hired, the Commission will present him with a Union membership card and a dues check-off card together with a copy of this Collective Agreement and will announce Union membership as a condition of employment and will direct him to the appropriate ▇▇▇▇▇▇▇ for joining the Union. The Company agrees Commission will receive the original of each signed dues check-off card for its files. 2.5 In addition to remitdeducting Union dues pursuant to Article 2.2, twice annuallythe Commission will also deduct from the pay due to each employee, to at the times and in the amounts agreed upon between the Commission and the Union, a complete list sums totalling and amount equal to the initiation fee and any arrears in dues or re- initiation fees which is uniformly authorized and collected from members of updated addresses the Union under its Constitution and phone numbers for all By-laws. 2.6 The provisions of the foregoing shall not apply to the employees in the bargaining unitspecifically excluded under Article 1.1.
