Unpaid Time Clause Samples

The "Unpaid Time" clause defines periods during which an employee is not compensated for their absence from work. Typically, this clause outlines the conditions under which unpaid leave may be taken, such as for personal reasons, extended illness beyond paid leave, or other approved absences, and may specify any limitations or procedures for requesting such time off. Its core function is to clarify when and how employees can be absent without pay, ensuring both parties understand the implications for compensation and employment status during these periods.
Unpaid Time off from work in accordance with Article 6.3 shall be considered as time worked for overtime purposes.
Unpaid Time. 1. All unpaid days must be approved by the Superintendent. 2. For any unpaid non-medical days during the school year, the employee must reimburse the district the daily insurance cap amount for the insurance plan that employee is enrolled in. If the employee is receiving cash in lieu of insurance, the employee will have that daily amount deducted from their pay.
Unpaid Time. Any unpaid time must be approved by the Director after exhausting any and all eligible leave.
Unpaid Time. Requests for Christmas/New Year's vacation and time off will be submitted by the 1st of October (see 20.03 for vacation requests) and the resultant schedule will be posted by the 1st of November.

  • Banked Time The implementation of these provisions shall not be considered to be a layoff. 8.

  • Paid Time Off (PTO) Executive shall earn and accrue paid-time-off covering vacation and sick time benefits at the rate of twenty (20) days per year for employment periods of up to five years of service. The PTO accrual rate shall automatically increase by five (5) additional days for each additional 5 years of service up to maximum of thirty (30) days per year after 10 years of service. For example, after five years of service, the annual PTO accrual rate shall increase to twenty-five (25) days. Unused PTO shall carry over to the next year, but Executive shall cease accruing further PTO at any time Executive has accrued two times his annual accrual rate. Unused PTO days which are not in excess of two-times the annual accrual rate shall be paid in a cash lump sum payment promptly after Executive’s termination of employment.

  • WASH-UP TIME 37.01 Where the Employer determines there is a clear-cut need, wash-up time, to a maximum of ten (10) minutes immediately before the end of a work period, will be permitted.

  • Flex Time Agencies shall, where practicable, establish flex time work schedules for their employees. Such flex time work schedules shall guarantee the Employer's ability to provide services, to meet all workload demands as defined by the Employer, and to the extent practicable, meet employees' personal scheduling preferences. Approval of such requests shall not be unreasonably denied.

  • Crib Time (i) When an Employee is required to work overtime after the usual ceasing time for the day or shift for two hours or more, he/she shall be allowed to take, without deduction of pay, a crib time of twenty minutes in duration immediately after such ceasing time and thereafter, after each four hours of continuous work, he/she shall be allowed to take also, without deduction of pay, a crib time of 30 minutes in duration. (ii) In the event of an Employee remaining at work after the usual ceasing time without taking the crib time of twenty minutes and continuing at work for a period of two hours or more, he/she shall be regarded as having worked twenty minutes more than the time worked and be paid accordingly.
