USE OF MATERIALS AND RETURN OF SURPLUS MATERIALS Clause Samples

The 'Use of Materials and Return of Surplus Materials' clause governs how materials provided for a project or contract are to be used and what should happen to any leftover materials once the work is completed. Typically, it requires that materials supplied by one party are used solely for the intended project and not diverted elsewhere, and that any surplus or unused materials must be returned to the supplier or otherwise disposed of according to agreed terms. This clause ensures accountability for materials, prevents waste or unauthorized use, and clarifies the process for handling excess resources at the end of a project.
