The work shall be set out to the satisfaction of the Engineer-in-Charge/Site-in-Charge. The approval thereof or joining in setting out the work shall not relieve the Contractor of his responsibility. 5.a.3. Before beginning the works, the Contractor shall, at his own cost, provide all necessary reference and level posts, pegs, bamboos, flags ranging rods, strings and other materials for proper layout of the work in accordance with the scheme, for bearing marks acceptable to the Engineer-in-Charge/Site-in-Charge. The Centre longitudinal or face lines and cross lines shall be marked by means of small masonary pillars. Each pillar shall have distinct marks at the centre to enable theodolite to be set over it. No work shall be started until all these points are checked and approved by the Engineer-in-Charge/Site-in-Charge in writing. But such approval shall not relieve the contractor of any of his responsibilities. The Contractor shall also provide all labour, materials and other facilities, as necessary, for the proper checking of layout and inspection of the points during construction. 5.a.4. Pillars bearing geodetic marks located at the sites of units of works under construction should be protected and fenced by the Contractor. 5.a.5. (b) In the event that the work schedule or shift for a regular employee or an auxiliary employee working a scheduled shift roster is changed without 48 hours' advance notice and such change is the result of the actions of another employee covered by this agreement utilizing the benefits provided for by the provisions of this agreement, the employee will receive a premium of 85¢ per hour in addition to their regular pay, for work performed on the first shift to which they changed. (c) In the event that an employee's work schedule or shift is changed without five days advance notice and the change results from causes other than defined in (b) above, the employee shall receive a premium at the applicable overtime rate for work performed on the first shift to which they changed, except that if the change results from no fault of the Employer they shall not receive a premium at overtime rates but shall receive the premium defined under (b) above.
