USE OF PIN a) Genuine signature: The cardholder acknowledges that the joint use of his card with his PIN is the same as his genuine signature to enable him to carry out, through an accessible device, purchases and cash advances, as provided for under this Agreement. b) Selection and confidentiality of PIN: When a cardholder selects his PIN, he undertakes not to select an obvious number (e.g.: date of birth, telephone number, social insurance number, health insurance number, driver’s licence number), in which case he shall be presumed having contributed to the unauthorized use of his card and shall assume all liability thereof, if any. The cardholder further undertakes not to disclose his PIN to anyone in any way whatsoever, nor to write it on his card or any other easily accessible document, in which case he shall also be presumed having contributed to the unauthorized use of his card and shall assume all liability thereof, if any.
USE OF PIN. (a) You will receive a PIN. A PIN is personal to You and must not be disclosed to anyone. You must memorise the PIN and NEVER CARRY THE CARD AND A NOTE OF THE PIN TOGETHER. You are liable in full if You fail to observe the above. (b) If You forget the PIN simply call Citibank on the number set out on Your billing statement and request that Citibank issue a new PIN. (c) In the event of any unauthorised disclosure or loss of the PIN You must notify Citibank immediately and fully co-operate with Citibank and the relevant authorities to prevent use of the PIN.
USE OF PIN. Each RO must be a person identified by the facility as someone who meets EPA’s criteria of being a signatory authority. If a PIN is compromised or there is evidence of potential compromise, HRSD will suspend the PIN and affected account. In addition, HRSD will inactivate or revoke a PIN where the RO is no longer an authorized signatory. Each RO agrees that HRSD may act immediately and unilaterally in any decision to suspend, inactivate, revoke, or otherwise disallow use of a PIN by any RO, where HRSD staff determines that such action is or may be necessary to ensure the authenticity, integrity or general security of transmissions or records, or where there are any actual or apparent violations of this agreement. Each RO also agrees to immediately report to HRSD any compromise or potential compromise of a PIN.
USE OF PIN. 7.1 A PIN is generated upon issuance of a Credit Card, including a new or replacement Credit Card. The PIN is strictly confidential and shall not be disclosed to any other person under any circumstance or by any means whether voluntarily or otherwise, as the Cardmember is the only person authorised by the Bank to have knowledge of the PIN. The Cardmember may set the PIN through the means availed by the Bank, including making a personal attendance at the Bank’s branch and setting the PIN assisted by the Bank’s officer. The Cardmember may reset or change his PIN by such means availed by the Bank from time to time. 7.2 Notwithstanding anything herein to the contrary, as soon as the Cardmember becomes aware of or has any reason to believe that his Credit Card and/or PIN have been misused and/or compromised by their disclosure, discovery, loss or theft by any other party, the Cardmember shall immediately inform the Bank in the manner provided in Clause 16.3

Any transaction made after such modification to a PIN is no longer considered an unauthorized transaction as defined in this contract. When unauthorized transactions are made with the cardholder’s card, the cardholder cannot be held liable for these transactions.

As soon as practicable upon receipt of the PIN and before using it to effect any transactions, the Cardmember is required to perform a PIN change at any of the Bank’s ATMs. 7.2 Notwithstanding anything herein to the contrary, as soon as the Cardmember becomes aware of or has any reason to believe that his Credit Card and/or PIN have been misused and/or compromised by their disclosure, discovery, loss or theft by any other party, the Cardmember shall immediately inform the Bank in the manner provided in Clause 16.3
USE OF PIN. If a PIN is issued to you to allow you to use the Card at any ATM outside of Singapore, the following additional terms apply: a) you may create and change the PIN through the Bank’s personal internet banking; b) you must not disclose the PIN and must prevent the PIN from becoming known, to any other person; c) as no one can use the Card at an ATM without the PIN, you shall be liable for all Transactions effected by the use of the Card at any ATM whether or not such use is authorised by or known to you. d) the amount of any Transaction, if denominated in a currency other than Singapore dollars, will be converted to Singapore dollars at such time and rate of exchange determined by the Bank in accordance with its usual practice, before being debited to the Account; and e) we are entitled, in our absolute discretion, to change, de-activate or revoke the use of the PIN at any time without giving any reason whatsoever and without prior notice to you.

The Bank shall not be liable for any loss and damage not caused by the Bank’s gross negligence and the Cardmember agrees to indemnify the Bank from such loss and damage. The Cardmember shall contact the Bank through any of the means provided in Clause 16.3 if he does not receive the PIN within 14 days after making the request for delivery of the PIN by post. As soon as practicable upon receipt of the PIN by post and before using it to effect any transactions, the Cardmember is required to perform a PIN change at any of the Bank’s ATMs. The Cardmember may reset or change his PIN by such means availed by the Bank from time to time. 7.2 Notwithstanding anything herein to the contrary, as soon as the Cardmember becomes aware of or has any reason to believe that his Credit Card and/or PIN have been misused and/or compromised by their disclosure, discovery, loss or theft by any other party, the Cardmember shall immediately inform the Bank in the manner provided in Clause 16.3

You shall contact the Bank through any of the means provided in Clause 16.3 if you do not receive the PIN within 14 days after receipt of your new or replacement Credit Card. As soon as practicable upon receipt of the PIN and before using it to effect any transactions, you are required to perform a PIN change at any of the Bank’s ATMs. 7.2. Notwithstanding anything herein to the contrary, as soon as you become aware of or has any reason to believe that your Credit Card and/or PIN have been misused and/or compromised by their disclosure, discovery, loss or theft by any other party, you shall immediately inform the Bank in the manner provided in Clause 16.3
USE OF PIN. Each RO must be a person identified by the facility as someone who meets EPA’s criteria of being a signatory authority. If a PIN is compromised or there is evidence of potential compromise, MCES will suspend the PIN and affected account. In addition, MCES will inactivate or revoke a PIN where the RO is no longer an authorized signatory. Each RO agrees that MCES may act immediately and unilaterally in any decision to suspend, inactivate, revoke, or otherwise disallow use of a PIN by any RO, where MCES staff believes that such action is necessary to ensure the authenticity, integrity or general security of transmissions or records, or where there are any actual or apparent violations of this agreement. Each RO also agrees to immediately report to MCES any compromise or potential compromise of a PIN. INABILITY TO TRANSMIT OR FILE REPORTS ELECTRONICALLY: No party is liable for any failure to perform its obligations in connection with any Electronic Transaction or any Electronic Document, where the failure results from any act or cause beyond the party’s control that prevents the party from electronically transmitting or receiving any document submissions. The RO is nonetheless required to submit records or information required by law by other means within the time period required by law, unless a written extension has been granted by MCES.
