Common use of Verbal Procedure Clause in Contracts

Verbal Procedure. An employee with a complaint shall, within seven (7) working days of the occurrence which gave rise to the complaint or within seven (7) working days of the date the employee first reasonably should have known of the event which gave rise to the grievance, discuss it with his/her immediate supervisor with the object of resolving the matter informally. The request to meet under this step shall be submitted in writing on a form mutually agreed upon by the Employer and the Union and is attached to this Agreement. If requested, the ▇▇▇▇▇▇▇ or Unit Representative may be present. The immediate supervisor will respond verbally within seven (7) working days of the meeting held under this Step.
