The 'Vice-principal' clause defines the role, authority, and responsibilities of a vice-principal within an organization or institution. Vice-principal. The person whom the board may appoint to assist the principal in the exercise of his or her duties and functions in accordance with the Education Act (CQLR, chapter I-13.3).
Vice-principal. In addition to the salary earned as a teacher, a vice principal shall receive an administrative allowance equal fifty per cent (50%) of the allowance designated for a principal of that school.
4.2.3.1 The minimum allowance for vice principal will be adjusted in accordance with current proportionality to the principal allowance.

(b) Where there is more than one vice-principal, a sum equal to 100 per cent of the principal's allowance shall be divided between them as agreed by the principal and vice-principals within that school. Where agreement cannot be reached, the vice-principal allowance will be divided between them in the ratio of their assigned administrative time allotment.
