Weekend Scheduling. Effective April 1, 2007, a nurse will receive premium pay in accordance with Article 14 for all hours worked on a third and consecutive weekend, save and except where: i) such weekend has been worked by the employee to satisfy specific days off requested by such employee; or ii) such employee has requested only weekend work; or iii) such weekend is worked as the result of an exchange of shifts with another employee; or iv) when specific nursing units have mutually agreed to do otherwise. Note: Nurses at Lady Minto Hospital who currently enjoy the superior benefit of every second weekend off shall retain this benefit until they resign or retire.
