Work Permit Application. (a) An Employer who intends to hire any individual who is not a member of the Union shall first apply for and secure an endorsement from the Union. (b) The completed work permit request must be accompanied by a letter outlining the reasons for the work permit request, a resume, and proof of the requested individual’s Union affiliation and letter of good standing, including RRSP certificate number. (c) All work permit requests must be submitted within reasonable notice prior to the call. (d) The Employer will not employ a non-member under a work permit until the Union approves the work permit request and the Employer has obtained an endorsed Deal Memorandum (Schedule B), which includes an assignment of payments for the purposes of remitting “permit fees” or “working dues” to the Union. The Employer will assume responsibility for remitting such required payments to the Union. (e) Permits granted under this section will be required to meet the terms laid out in the Counterpart Position (Article 4.04) of this agreement
