Workdays and Workweeks a. The normal workweek for a full-time employee shall consist of forty (40) hours per week, eight (8) hours per day and five (5) days per week. The Company shall make a good faith effort to utilize non-consecutive scheduling no more than one (1) week per month per employee, except in the case of the Service Assurance Representatives who may be assigned to a workweek with non-consecutive days off as needed. b. The workweek shall run from Sunday through Saturday, inclusive. The normal five (5) day workweek shall be Monday to Friday, however, nothing shall prohibit the Company from scheduling alternative work weeks. If requested by the employee, lunch hours may be waived at the discretion of the Company.

However, management reserves the right to schedule workdays to meet the needs of the service; e. Eight (8) consecutive hours worked between 7 a.m. and 9 p.m., exclusive of up to one (1) hour for lunch shall constitute the regular workday or shift, except in the case of employees assigned to night shifts.
Workdays and Workweeks. Subsection 1. Standard work schedules. A standard workday shall consist of eight consecutive hours of work in any 24-hour period. Suggested alternative work schedules may be developed by MFPE and the Employer, such as four 10-hour days as addressed under Subsection 2. The parties through mutual agreement may negotiate over such suggested schedules during the contract term. Working conditions and/or amendments to the contract resulting from implementation of an agreed upon schedule may be part of such negotiations. The standard workweek shall be a fixed and regular recurring seven-day period coinciding with the payroll period of Saturday through Friday. A work period shall consist of 40 hours of work in a fixed and regularly recurring five consecutive days of employment. An employee's 40-hour work period need not coincide with the seven-day work week. Subsection 2. Four 10-hour work schedules. A standard full-time workday shall not exceed 10 hours of work in any 24-hour period. A full-time work period shall consist of 40 hours of work in a fixed and regular recurring four consecutive days of employment. However, the Employer may establish a work period with days that are not fixed and regular recurring or consecutive with mutual agreement of the employee. Except in cases of emergency, a schedule shall not be changed without first giving 14-calendar days’ notice of a change to the employee. If the schedules for all positions are changed at the same time, then all assignments shall be open for bidding in accordance with the seniority bidding procedures of this agreement.

  • Workday and Workweek The regular workweek of a full-time employee in the bargaining unit shall be forty (40) hours and shall consist of five (5) consecutive days of eight (8) hours per day.

  • Workweek A regularly re-occurring period of one hundred and sixty-eight (168) hours consisting of seven (7) consecutive twenty-four (24) hour periods. Workweeks will normally begin at 12:00 a.m. on Sunday and end at 12:00 midnight the following Saturday or as otherwise designated by the appointing authority. If there is a change in their workweek, employees will be given written notification by the appointing authority or their designee.

  • Normal Workweek The normal workweek shall consist of five (5) days, eight (8) hours per day and forty (40) hours per week. This Article shall not restrict the extension of the regular workday or workweek on an overtime basis when such is necessary to carry on the business of the District.

  • Weekend Work (1) All ordinary hours of work performed between midnight on Friday and midnight on Sunday shall be paid for at the rate of time and one-half.

  • Workdays All workdays when the central and administrative offices are open shall be duty days for members employed on a twelve-month basis. All student days, when the schools are open, shall be duty days for members employed on a ten-month basis.
