Common use of Working on Holidays Clause in Contracts

Working on Holidays. Any employee required to work on a non-floating holiday shall be paid one and one-half (1 ½) times the employee's regular hourly rate of pay, including longevity pay, for all hours worked on the holiday; provided, however, that an employee required to work on Thanksgiving, Christmas, or New Year's Day shall be paid two (2) times the employee's regular hourly rate of pay, including longevity pay, for all hours worked on such holidays. Employees required to work on a recognized non-floating holiday shall also receive a subsequent scheduled normal workday off with pay.
