Permanent Vacancy Exists when a position has been vacated and the Department posts the vacancy for bid.
Permanent Vacancy: A permanent vacancy is any job opening within the bargaining unit which the District intends to fill, including but not limited to, regular full-time or part-time jobs; newly created positions; any permanent opening in an existing job created by death, resignation, discharge, retirement, or permanent transfer; a position vacated by an employee on a leave (paid or unpaid); or any other vacancy as determined by the District.
