SIP Trunking. SIP trunking is a voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) technology and streaming media service based on the Session Initiation Protocol (SIP) by which SIP trunking providers, also known as Internet Telephony Service Providers (ITSPs), enable businesses to connect their existing telephone systems to the Public Switched Telephone Network (PSTN) using SIP trunks, allowing them to place and receive calls over an IP network.

Examples of SIP Trunking in a sentence

  • The Voice Service can be delivered to a Customer in the following manner: (a) SIP Trunking over an IP network connected to an IP-PBX via Ethernet; or (b) standard PRI/Analog trunk interfaces provided by a Syringa Networks IAD (Integrated Access Device) that is installed on the Customer premise; or (C) Hosted PBX (“Cloud Voice”) that delivers voice service on per user basis to IP phone sets on the Customer premise that are owned by the customer or leased from Syringa Networks.

  • Toll free services offer termination of calls via SIP Trunking Services.

  • If Customer purchases a discounted bundled offering from Spectrum including a SIP Trunking Service, PRI Service, or Hosted Communications Services combined with Spectrum Fiber Internet Access, Customer must have the SIP Trunking Service, PRI Service, or Hosted Communications Service installed and billing within four months after the provisioning and turn-up of the bundled data circuit.

  • Certain local services are unavailable with SIP Trunking including receipt of collect and ▇▇▇▇-to-third party calls, as well as n11 services where available (2-1-1, 3-1-1, 5-1-1, 7-1-1, and 8-1-1 services).

  • Customer should inform all persons who may be present at the physical location where Alaska Communications VoIP or SIP Trunking Services are used that 911 may not be available or may be in some way limited in comparison to traditional 911 service.

  • Customer understands and acknowledges that changing the Service location affects emergency 911 location services, and agrees that the SIP Trunking Service will not be used at any location other than the Primary Service Location identified in this Schedule.

  • Rogers SIP Trunking services can be delivered on fiber and/or cable access (over EoC or RBI).

  • In addition to the general exclusions set forth in Section 5, below, a TTR time period for an incident does not include time for Trouble Tickets associated with non-Verizon networks or non-UCCaaS/Hosted Calling Verizon services (e.g., PSTN or SIP Trunking services).
