Apartment Assignment Sample Clauses

The Apartment Assignment clause defines the conditions under which a tenant may transfer their lease rights and obligations to another party. Typically, this clause outlines the process for obtaining the landlord’s consent, any requirements the new tenant must meet, and whether the original tenant remains liable after the assignment. Its core practical function is to provide flexibility for tenants who need to move before the lease ends, while protecting the landlord’s interests by ensuring suitable replacements and maintaining control over occupancy.
