Authorization for Overtime. A. The immediate supervisor may assign overtime-eligible employees to work more than forty (40) hours in a work week provided that such assignment conforms with management directives, program priorities and budget constraints. B. Employees may not conduct work activities that exceed forty (40) hours in a work week without prior approval, except in the case of a bona fide emergency. In the case of an emergency necessitating overtime the employee shall notify their immediate supervisor as soon as practical.
