Automotive Mechanic; Work Location. The Employer shall post a notice to employees, which identifies permanent Automotive Mechanic position vacancies. Automotive Mechanics will be allowed to express an interest to be assigned to a work area within the Fleet Services Division. Automotive Mechanics will be allowed to express an interest to be assigned to first or second shift. However, such expression shall not be construed to limit the Employers ability to assign the Mechanic to any area of need at any time. The notice of vacancy shall include the qualifications, shift, be dated and posted in all principle locations in the Fleet Services Division for not less than seven (7) calendar days from the date of posting. Employees shall demonstrate their interest in the position by signing their name on the official notice which shall be maintained by the ▇▇▇▇▇▇▇. An employee on vacation during the entire posting period shall be considered to be interested in the vacancy. Within fourteen (14) calendar days of the date of the end of the notice period, the Employer shall select the most senior qualified employee and shall so inform the employee and the ▇▇▇▇▇▇▇(s) promptly. Nothing herein shall be construed as a limitation upon the Employer's rights to a) create and eliminate positions and determine their physical location, b) determine the qualifications of employees to fill positions within the Automotive Mechanic job classification or to consider qualifications factors other than technical competence and c) assign more junior qualified employees to positions or to fill them with other applicants from a certified list. Such matters of discretion shall remain solely and exclusively with the Employer and they shall not be subject to review under the grievance or arbitration provisions of this Agreement. Rather, representatives of the Parties shall meet and confer in an effort to resolve any dispute arising under the provisions of this subdivision. For the purposes of this subdivision, seniority shall be defined as the length of time an employee has been employed in the Fleet Services Division as an Automotive Mechanic.

  • Work Location While employed by the Company hereunder, the Executive shall perform his duties (when not traveling or engaged elsewhere in the performance of his duties) at the offices of the Company in Bermuda. The Executive shall travel to such places on the business of the Company in such manner and on such occasions as the Company may from time to time reasonably require.
