Common use of Averaging Clause in Contracts

Averaging. The Employer and an Employee may agree that the Employee's ordinary hours of work may be averaged over a period of up to but not exceeding 16 weeks. A full-time Employee working according to this clause will: (a) be paid for 38 hours each week; and (b) be entitled to 8 days off per 4 week cycle.
